Each June we celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month! For over 50 years, Pride month commemorates queer resistance, like the Stonewall uprising in 1969, the likes of which, began the formal LGBTQ Rights movement across the country. Since 2019, the LGBTQ Network has celebrated with Pride events, like our annual Pride picnic. In 2023, we held our first Pride party in partnership with local businesses, located in downtown Kankakee! Follow this page and our social media for this year’s Pride celebrations!
